Allotments

 

Very few local homes have gardens. If they do, they are tiny. So our large site of 12 allotments is a highly valued resource for local families who can grow vegetables, herbs and fruit.

 

We have allotments set aside for all the children who are regulars on our adventure playground. The produce is used in the Children’s Cafe and when they cook over an open fire out-of-doors.

 

Fruit can also provide colour for arts and crafts, for jams, puddings and smoothies.
