Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place.
It will benefit you as much as the cause you choose to support and help.

Here at Shadwell Community Project this could take the form of taking on tasks that take our staff away from working with the children and young people:

-
Administration;
-
Fundraising, whether applying for grants or organising local events;
-
Support with managing our website and IT;
-
Repair or rebuild our play structure;
-
Get involved in our food growing project.
-

For the more hardy, we accept a limited number of volunteers to work directly with the children and young people, providing arts, crafts, drama, music activities under the supervision of our trained staff.

At the end, being a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, improve your social skills and even feel happier and healthier.
